Fullbrook Celebrate Another Year of Great Results at GCSE

Fullbrook is celebrating another year of fantastic examination results, rewarding the hard work of students and staff. We are delighted with our students' results this year. Overall, Fullbrook students achieved 84% 5A*-C including English and Maths at level 4 and above. Maths and English results were excellent with 89% achieving a grade 4 or above in English and 89% achieving a grade 4 or above in maths. 8% of Fullbrook students achieved the new grade 9 in maths and 6% in English. Congratulations to all our students.

Principal, Mrs Moore, said “I am delighted with all our students’ success, particularly in a period of so much change in education. The whole Fullbrook community have worked hard this year to ensure all our students achieve and exceed their potential. Our warmest congratulations go to all our students and their families on their excellent achievements
showing they really can be ‘better than they ever though they could be’! We look forward to welcoming students into Fullbrook 6 to begin their studies at A Level in September.”

We are particularly pleased that results in the core subjects of English and Maths, assessed against the new specification, show that students in Fullbrook continue to achieve highly in these important subjects with 71% achieving grade 5 or above in Maths and 78% in English. 33% achieved grade 7 or higher in Maths and 38% in English. Once again Fullbrook’s focus on science, technology and maths (STeM) has meant that 82% of students achieved C or above in Science and have performed particularly well in Technology subjects with over 80% of students achieving C or above in all Technology subjects.

Fullbrook remains committed to providing an education environment that is rich and challenging, not only academically but also through the wide extra-curricular programme we provide. We strive to ensure that every student can be ‘better than they ever thought they could be and help others do the same’. Students have shown this year that they have benefitted from this approach and used all their experiences to support their learning which has led to an excellent set of results.

Fullbrook 6 Students Achieve “better than they ever thought they could ” in their A level Examinations.

A level students at Fullbrook School have once again achieved a fantastic set of results. Evidently responding to the school mission to “be better than you ever thought you could be”, a number of students have exceeded expectations: Max Wilford, studying Maths, Further Maths and Physics has outperformed his 3 Bs target by achieving 2 A*s and a B at A level. Kira Burton, studying Chemistry, Physics, Maths and Further Maths has successfully outperformed her A, A, A, A* targets by achieving A*,A*, A*, A* at A level - a frankly awesome achievement.

Mrs Moore, the school’s Principal commented that “We strive to ensure that every student can surpass their expectations. Students have shown this year that they have benefited from this approach. They have used all their experiences to support their learning which has led to an excellent set of results.”

Congratulations to all our students and their parents and teachers for the hard work that has gone on this year culminating in all students achieving university places of their choice. Once again, there was a 99% pass rate at A level, with nearly 40% of all grades at A*-B.

Fullbrook School will continue to follow the aspirations and progress of the year group with interest. Our expectations for their success in the future are very high.
